Jot Magazine - Issue #3 Circles Gallery - No Girls!

I am here to share a layout I created for the latest issue (Issue #3) of Jot Magazine.

You can see the mag here

This layout was my contribution to the Circles gallery.

I created this layout for the 'Circle' gallery. I absolutely love my Silhouette Cameo so I made a cut file with circular elements on it and used it to frame my photos and patterned paper. I continued the circular theme with the embellishments I have chosen to use; doily, sequins, wood veneer, flair button, enamel dots and stickers.

You can download the .studio cut file I have created by following this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/al34qo6q9waqxmb/Raquel%20Bowman%20-%20JOT...

Layout title: No Girls!

Products Used:Paper: Dear Lizzy Crepe paper card stock, White card stock, Dear Lizzy 'Polka Dot Party' patterned papers
Embellishments: Dear Lizzy 'Polka Dot Party' Stickers, Studio Calico Wood Veneer alphabet, Dear Lizzy 'Polka Dot Party' Thickers, A Piece of Cake Designs Cherry Flair, Studio Calico Wooden Veneers, Dear Lizzy 'Polka Dot Party' Peg, My Mind's Eye enamel dots, Resin bow, string, sequins

A Cherry Flair from the 'Dare to Dream' pack in the APOCD Store was a perfect accompanying circular embellishment.

I have a 'thing' for pegs at the moment!

Hope this has inspired you to have a go at a circular page....plus, if you like my cut file don't forget to download it by clicking the link above...

APOCD Cherry Flair - Dummy Love

Today I am sharing a layout I created recently for an APOCD/Scrapbook Creations Blog Hop which was focusing on Flair :)

Each of the Scrapbooking kits I release each month contains sets of Cherry Flair that are exclusively designed for that kit. This you can only get those particular flair designs when you purchase that particular kit. On the below layout I have used one of those exclusive flair which was available in the October Main Cake Kit.

Layout Title: Dummy Love

I love to cluster and layer my embellishments, a Cherry Flair is the perfect addition to any cluster and adds a perfect amount of dimension to a page :)

Thanks for looking :)  You can check out the available Flair designs in my store

Mood Board #11 - Jot Magazine - Happy Little Moments

Today I am here to share the latest Mood Board Challenge at Jot Magazine created by fellow Jot Girl Anna Allan. Anna has put together this rich, luscious colour palette for us this month - filled with magenta, gold, white, cream + glitter and crackled paint.

When I saw this board I was in love! The magenta and gold, I just {heart} it! But it wasnt as easy to create a layout with as I thought, lol. It took me a few attempts to create, as I would sit down to get it done and the mojo just was not there at all. After a few attempts I love what I came up with.

I tried a new technique for me of adding a big of water to a ranger embossing paste and dripping it on my page. I then added the gold zing and heat set it. It turned out pretty well, I love the effect. I have also embossed the gold in the silhouette cut title.

Here is the Mood Board:

Here is my layout, I was inspired by the tulle in image 3, the flags in image and the flowers and paint drips in image 6 ... and the colours of course. This is a layout I created to document Charlottes first official plait! So cute!

Layout title: Happy Little Moments, your first Plait!
